it's true; i have been bald. more than once, actually. at times of extreme tribulation, it seems to serve as a catharsis of some sort, in a sackcloth-and-ashes way. this was the second such occasion; i shaved off the wretched haircut visited upon me by the army the day before they sent me home. (that smudge was on the scanner, not on my head!)
