"a thing of beauty is a joy for ever:
its loveliness increases; it will never
pass into nothingness; but still will keep
a bower quiet for us, and a sleep
full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing."
- john keats, endymion, book 1
welcome. when i first started this part of the site, i wrote: "without
being sure why, i've felt the urge to build a little shrine to beauty
here." i do know why, now; it's part of my small raging against the dying
of the light, my unfashionable desire to cling to beauty in a world increasingly
less beautiful. i've no blueprint in mind for this part of my site;
i just want a place where i can collect beautiful things
and share them with any who may be interested. i hope that you may enjoy
my small offering, or at least, perhaps, gain a little insight into what makes
me tick.
incidentally: my idea is to collect "Things Which are Beautiful." that
may include, for example, poetry and lyrics, artwork and photographs, maybe even
music, some day; it's not going to be exclusively feminine beauty, but
that will be a major theme here, very possibly including nudity, so if
you don't want to see that, don't look.
